Here are the “go-to” creatives whose contributions and mere presence make shooting a joy and the end product incalculably better.

Sarah Kate Hirth

SET DESIGNER /ART DIRECTOR/ MAKEUP ARTIST

A multi-talented artist, Sarah Kate is both a makeup artist and a fine artist. She perfected her makeup technique as a top artist for Laura Mercier and Chanel at Neiman Marcus in the Houston Galleria.

A veteran of countless fashion projects and runway shows, she designed and supervised makeup for all runway looks presented at one of the last Fashion Houston shows, and was the makeup and backstage coordinator for Art Master Piece, a runway show featuring 70 models, 5 designers, and 25 makeup artists. Inherently analytical and organized, she can impose order on almost any degree of chaos.

In addition to designing makeup looks for the studio’s commercial clients, her imagination, infallible color memory and blending skills have led her into the world of abstract art. Recently, she has applied her artistic gifts to designing and creating large canvas backdrops for clients in an array of styles from soft Renoir-like florals to fantastic, surreal landscapes that seem to merge the riotous colors of Kandinsky with strange Daliesque metamorphoses.

Aleya Duncan

HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTIST

With stunning good looks that keep her in demand in front of the camera and hair and makeup skills that place her at the top of Houston artists, Aleya gets it when  it comes to making you look great on shoot day.

In her mid-twenties, she already has amassed 10 years’ experience that includes published work in Vogue Italia and advertising for top fashion brands Nordstrom, Tootsies, Macy’s,  Saks Fifth Avenue, and others.

Also in demand for broadcast work, she has done makeup for network on-air teams that include Super Bowl 51, Inside the NFL, the Houston Astros, and COPA America; and for celebrities like George Foreman, Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, Maddie Hasson, Billy Burke, Coyote Peterson, Justin Verlander, and Joy Bauer.

For our studio, Aleya has done hair and makeup on projects that include corporate headshots, fine art portraiture, and complex '60s and  '80s  period looks for an editorial shot in the 100-degree heat of an abandoned Texas sugar mill.

With unmatched versatility and a perpetually upbeat attitude, consider yourself privileged if Aleya works on your shoot.
